Daisy One Year Ampuversary

So I can’t believe it has been one year. This year we learned a lot and became new people / dogs! i feel so grateful that this site was here a year ago so I knew what to expect. I promise any newbies it’s not as bad as you think. I remember a year ago crying thinking mine and Daisy’s life was over, literally. But the only difference with Daisy is that she gets tired more often. We live in a 3 level townhouse and she does okay all day until late night when she gets tired and needs help. I promise all newbies, it gets better. In fact you will eventually feel so happy that you still have your dog, you will begin to think that dogs with four legs are weird! I promise!!!!!!!!

As for the stairs in our house, I think we may have to move in a few years to keep her young, but we’ll see. Other than fatigue she is no different.

Thanks everyone

Daisy was hit by a car about a year ago and shattered her leg. After numerous surgeries her leg just wasn't healing and it was time to amputate. We are taking each day as it comes and learning a whole new life as a tripawd.
