Just Tired!

So we are on day 4 since my amputation. I had a few days with energy bursts but today all I want to do is sleep and watch hockey. The bruising is getting better I think the ice is helping. I think that means the healing is getting serious which is good the sooner the better. I think all the spoiling I have been getting over the past few days is helping too. It’s amazing all the presents and love you get when you become a Tripawd. If this is what my new life is like than I love it.

And on a positive note – today is the first day my mama hasn’t cried!!! I guess everyday can only get better and better.

I’m going to go back to my couch and have another nap

Daisy was hit by a car about a year ago and shattered her leg. After numerous surgeries her leg just wasn't healing and it was time to amputate. We are taking each day as it comes and learning a whole new life as a tripawd.

  1. Oh Daisy you are a princess. You look so much like my golden Mackenzie. I just want you to know that these next couple of weeks during your recovery will be the most difficult but tell your mom that you will recover and before you know it, you and she won’t even know that you’re missing a leg. 🙂
Would love to hear more about your story and if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’ve all been through this and it’s very comforting to know that you have this great community to share with.

I just want to send you my best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery.
    All the best Daisy!

  2. Welcome, Daisy. What a sweetheart face you have. Sleeping and watching hockey is just what you need to get better. You can even sleep DURING hockey if your team is losing.

Our hockey team loses a lot so, although Catie and Riley aren’t interested in the sport, I manage to get a lot of naps during the televised games.

Spoiling is excellent. Presents are excellent. Life as a Tripawd is excellent.

Hope your recovery continues to go well, Daisy.

  3. Daiay, you just need to remember to take it easy. You will be very tired for a while. But, you will be back on your feet in no time.
